More people should get to feel like authors.
You don’t need to arrive with a finished plot or the perfect words. A character, a memory, or a wonderfully strange “what if?” is a place to begin.
ImagineAI brings writing, illustration, and bookmaking together, with AI to help you explore ideas and shape your pages. You choose the direction, make changes, and decide when your story feels right.
It’s for the child making their first book, the teacher opening up a new project, and the person who’s been carrying a story around for years.
Small beginnings
Built close to the people who use it.
ImagineAI began in Massachusetts in 2024, when Kyle Maloney started building it. He still builds and maintains the product, working directly with the teachers and programs that use it.
The first school pilot started with one teacher at Norton Elementary in 2025. Teachers told other teachers. Since then, students at Norton Middle School, a third-grade class in Easton, and campers at the South Shore YMCA have turned their ideas into books.
Those classrooms and conversations continue to shape ImagineAI. The work is personal: listening, making things better, and helping the next person bring their story to life.
